Motorcycle Cbt Advice

Before riding on the road, all learner motorcyclists, scooter and moped riders MUST complete the CBT (Compulsory Training Test) UNLESS they;

>>> Passed a full moped test after 1 December 1990

>>> Live and ride on specified offshore islands.

>>> Already hold a Certificate of Completion obtained during a previous motorcycle entitlement or when riding a moped

>>> Intend to ride a moped and passed the car tests before 1st Feb 2001

Once you have passed the CBT, you will issued a DL196 (Certificate Of Completion) which must be provided before you can take a practical motorcycle test.

The DL196 is valid for 2 years and if you have not passed your, both theory and practical motorcycle tests, you will have to re-do the CBT again.

When getting scooter or bike insurance quotes, you will be asked if you have completed the CBT, and you cannot get insured until this has been done.

You will be required to produce a CBT certificate by the insurance company or broker.

We hope this CBT Test Advice information was useful.
